This month, we are excited to highlight the C-M-T project, a large-scale, multi-phase residential endeavor set to continue into 2026. The project includes demolishing an existing garage to construct a DADU, extensively renovating the primary residence, replacing the east-side foundation via a structure lift & level and adding a first-floor expansion to enlarge the kitchen.
This project is particularly meaningful to the client, who has called this house home for the past 80 years. Fortunately, the home will remain in the family, with the owner moving into the newly built DADU while her daughter and family take up residence in the main house after construction is complete. To honor the home’s legacy, Josh Voigt and the C-M-T team have thoughtfully salvaged trim from the original structure, planning to incorporate it into the DADU to help the owner feel right at home in her new space.
As with any project of this scale, unexpected challenges have arisen, but thanks to the swift responses and approvals from both the client and the structural engineer, solutions have been implemented seamlessly. Josh would like to extend a special shout-out to Donald for his deep understanding of the project plans from day one. His foresight has helped the team stay ahead of potential challenges, keeping the project on schedule and minimizing delays.
